Hey everyone wanted to introduce myself. I’m Johnny Ayala, the lead trainer and manager of this great facility. I’ve been with Self Made since 2017, I started off in chino hills then moved to San Diego and trained out of San Marcos Self Made for little over 2 years then switched to oceanside for a bit before RSM opened up.

I love what I do and my passion for this career grows more and more. Here is a brief history of my background, I am a combat veteran served from 2005 to 2010 in the US Army as a paratrooper. After I got done with my services I went to the University of La Verne where I double majored in biology and Athletic training. I played college football for a couple years then went on to power lifting and competing in strongman.

I worked as a Physical Therapy Aid and Athletic Trainer where I learned a lot about rehabilitation and strength and conditioning.  I started taking personal training serious in 2016 where I started off at Golds gym, a corporate setting until Self Made was created and made for Personal trainers – I switched over. I went to school in the mean time and became a Respiratory Therapist while I was a full time trainer.

I coached and train athletes/lifestyle clients of all ages as young as 10 years old to old as 94 years old. I specialize in functional sports training, strength and conditioning, rehabilitation, bodybuilding, powerlifting, weight-loss, and calisthenics.

Hey there, I’m Taylor, thanks for coming to my profile! I’m guessing you want to learn a little bit about me, so here you go!

I am an NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Internationally Certified Life Coach here to give you the tools and resources necessary to build a body with purpose. After going through my own body recomposition (235lbs – 185lbs) I knew it was my calling to help others do the same and to avoid the mistakes I made along the way.

I offer BOTH in-person training and online training. Whether we work together online or in-person, I will provide you with my mobile training app which provides you with a custom workout plan, custom meal plan, macronutrition plan, and access to 1:1 coaching with me every week to help you continue moving forward with success.

In addition to my personal training expertise, I have also been practicing as a life coach for the past four years. This role has allowed me to guide clients beyond their physical transformations, empowering them to overcome mental obstacles, improve their mindset, and achieve overall well-being. My coaching approach has been particularly effective in assisting individuals with fat loss, hypertrophy, and body recomposition, enabling them to achieve their desired physique while fostering sustainable lifestyle changes.

I am deeply passionate about helping others realize their full potential and live healthier, happier lives. Through my combined experience as a personal trainer and life coach, I have honed my ability to connect with individuals on a personal level, understand their unique needs, and develop customized programs tailored to their goals.

Correcting gait mechanics and breathing patterns can unlock your potential of movement and enable you to do things you once thought were impossible. Once a solid foundation has been established, layers of strength and power are added to improve performance in specific sports or activities.

My passion for teaching is the driving force behind everything I do. I am here to teach you the why behind every movement I ask you to perform. Everything I teach is centered around understanding the ultimate power of the nervous system and how the way you think directly affects what your body is capable of doing. Maintaining a positive and strong state of mind is essential in allowing the body to recover, heal, and perform.

I have worked with athletes of all ages and skill levels in every sport you can imagine. Helping someone rehab from an injury and seeing them come back stronger than they ever were is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.
